Deployed across all 17 ASECNA states

Weather that becomes decisions.

A storm on its way, late rains, a harvest to protect: every good decision starts with the right information at the right time. We build the software that carries it, from the weather station all the way to the farmer's phone.

Our approach

From station to village, with no weak link

A warning only protects lives and harvests if it arrives in time, in the language of the person receiving it. That is why we cover the whole chain, with a proven system at every step.

  1. 01

    Observe

Reliable observations, checked and sent in WMO formats (SYNOP, CLIMAT, METAR, TAF, BUFR), with no re-keying.

  2. 02

    Monitor

See storms form from space, even where no radar watches the sky.

  3. 03

    Forecast and decide

Turn the forecast into practical advice: when to sow, when to protect, when to act.

  4. 04

    Reach the last mile

A clear warning for every locality, in the local language, even without an internet connection.

Products

Five solutions, proven in the African field

Unstable connections, power cuts, few radars, many languages: our software was born from these realities. It keeps working where other tools give up.

SferiCast

Research · advisory

Watch storms form across Africa, and warn people before they strike.

Across most of the continent, no radar watches the sky, so a severe storm is often spotted only when it hits. SferiCast scans all of Africa by satellite every 10 minutes, tracks every storm cell and forecasts its path up to 2 hours ahead. Airports, met services, civil protection and operators gain precious time to act.

  • Area alertsstorm arrival time and heading
  • Live lightningMTG and GOES imagers
  • Floodsflash 0–3 h, GloFAS up to 6 months
  • 6 languagesincluding Lingala and Swahili

An advisory product that supports national met services and never replaces them. Verification scores published monthly.

Our principles

Trust is built into the code

A warning affects lives, harvests and investments. These are the commitments we apply to every one of our products.

  • Probabilistic

A level of risk and its uncertainty, never false certainty.

  • Supporting NMHSs

We support the warning mandate of national services.

  • Traceable

Source, age, rule version and forecast cycle for every output.

  • Verified

Skill measured continuously against observations, and published.

  • Frugal

Open data, a single server, offline use: sustainable running costs.

Team

Meteorologists who code

We worked in forecast rooms, at stations and on airfields before writing a single line of code. That is why our software speaks the language of the people who use it, from day one.
